The Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar was established by an Act of Legislation of Haryana State on October 20th, 1995 to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar, a saint, environmentalist of 15th century. The University has grown to its full size and stature within a short span of 8 years.

An ISO 9001:2000 Company Oxford is probably the first IT Institute in the country that provides Computer Education at an affordable fee. Students are charged only a nominal amount towards the lab maintenance only Such an initiative has benefited many of the budding IT enthusiasts. Basically, Oxford povides five different courses to cater to the interest and skills of different students.
